Programme Structure


The Program follows a term  pattern spread over two years. The first year is common to all students covering core courses. In the first year in addition to the Core Courses, students are required to attend induction courses (non-graded courses) that provide basic skills. The second year has specialized courses in Hospital Management, Health Management and Healthcare Information Technology Management.

Summer Training

Summer Training is an integral part of the program. The students are placed for eight weeks in various designated Hospitals and Healthcare organizations for practical exposure and hands on training. They are assessed on the basis of their performance during this period.

Second Year

In the second year, the students are required to opt for three areas of specialization: Hospital Management, Health Management and Healthcare Information Technology Management. The following specialized courses are offered in the respective streams:

Dissertation and Internship

The second year students go for the three month dissertation at the end of second year followed by presentations. Each student is required to submit a thesis involving research in his/her area of interest.
